Alier is a data science professional and educator with over eight years of experience specializing in healthcare analytics, data science, and statistics. His journey includes teaching introductory math courses, applied calculus 1, and applied statistics at Middle Tennessee State University (August 2009 – December 2016), where he empowered students with foundational knowledge in these critical areas.
His healthcare analytics journey started at Lifepoint Health in December 2016, where he served as a Data Analyst and Senior Data Analyst. He transitioned to ScionHealth in October 2022 and now serves as Director of Quality and Clinical Analytics for Community Hospitals.
Alier founded NileQuantum Insights in 2024 to bridge the gap between R and Python by helping data scientists and analysts harness the power of both programming languages. He is an avid learner committed to continuous learning to keep up with the latest advancements in the industry. He simplifies complex concepts to make data analysis accessible across diverse backgrounds, empowering individuals and organizations to make informed decisions that drive positive change.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience from the University of Texas at Dallas (2008), a Master of Science degree in Professional Science with a concentration in Biostatistics from Middle Tennessee State University (2011), and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Information Systems Management from LeTourneau University (2017).
