Rev. Michael Ayom Deng serves as the Voluntary Juba-Bor Site Office Coordinator for Africa Sunrise Communities, Inc., where he plays a vital role in bridging communication between local communities and government authorities. He oversees daily office operations, manages logistics, coordinates meetings, maintains records, and ensures smooth communication among staff, partners, and external stakeholders.
With a heart for both ministry and community service, Rev. Michael has devoted his life to spiritual leadership and social development. His ministry journey began in 1992 when he was baptized in Jalle by Rev. Joson Maluk. Over the years, he has served faithfully as a teacher, evangelist, deacon, pastor, and later as Coordinator of the Bor Diocese, helping to establish and grow several parish churches across the region.
Rev. Michael holds a Master’s Degree and Diploma in Christian Leadership, along with additional qualifications in Human Resource Management, Christian Ministry, and Electrical and Electronic Studies. He also began a Bachelor’s program in Public Administration and Management at St. Lawrence University in Uganda, which he hopes to complete in the future.
Known for his dedication, humility, and leadership, Rev. Michael continues to serve God and his community with passion—strengthening relationships, fostering growth, and advancing the mission of Africa Sunrise Communities in South Sudan.
